KLICK KAWAII
Japanese fashion has always fascinated me. The traditional and the contemporary trends are intriguing as the ancient styles feed into today's Japanese modern cultural involvement with dress. Korea and Japan are currently in the process of becoming the next modern fashion capitals of the future! I know that their great cities have potential but it will unfortunately take time for them to even have an official fashion week. The western world influence Asian fashion heavily which is bringing more and more attention. Here are some of the most interesting and inspiring fashionistas from around Asia that you should know!
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

Kyary is also known for being a J-Pop artist but her fashion blogs are also incredibly popular. Her content includes a lot of pop-styled fashion and illustrations. She tends to focus her fashion around the albums she creates so the overall style has a lot of bold prints, emoji's and juicy pop kind of aesthetics. I love the fact that she uses her music to fuel her interest in fashion.
Kyunkun

Kyunkun describes herself as a "Robotic Fashion Designer" and fashion blogger. Her blogs are based around the progress of her designs and the process of creation she uses. I find her work incredibly inspiring as I personally feel that she has unlocked a new and dynamic path of fashion concept. Robotics and fashion... how can it not be exciting?! And to add a dash more of inspiration, she's only 20 and is still at University!
Takashi Murakami

Takashi is a Painter and Illustrator from Japan. Not only is he de rigour but he is a silent master of street style! Takashi collaborated with Louis Vuitton for 13 years as well as Illustrating for Kanye West in 2008 for his single 'Good Morning'.
Ms. Aoki

Ms. Aoki is a fashion 'idol' from Tokyo. Her failed attempts of becoming an Asian fashion idol through pop-styled fashion encouraged her to express her inner self by wearing zombie themed attire. In an interview with WSJ Blog she explained “When I saw myself as a zombie in a mirror, I felt I was complete”. Ms. Aoki is now famous for her honest and shocking style. The way she styles herself in a zombie manner reflects her struggle with suffering from Depression. Although many disagree with the way she addresses her mental state, I think it's interesting and definitely a subject of fashion that is worth engaging in.
A fab website for buying Manga or Anime inspired clothing is OMOCAT. They also have Artist portfolios and Model Applications - http://www.omocat-shop.com/collections/winter-2016
